Properties of Matter

Rigid(Stiff):  difficult to bend 

Strength: the amount of weight that can be supported 

Brittle: breaks easily when bent or dropped  

Elastic: will return to its original shape after stretching 

Malleability: easy to change shape

Mass: the heaviness of the matter 

Soluble: the particles will spread out in water and appears to disappear

Odor: Smell 

State: is it a solid. liquid or a gas

Ductlility:easy to  change shape

Volume: how much space the matter takes up

Density: how tightly or loosely packed the particles are

Luster: has a shine or glow 

Hardness: ability to stretch
